Ian Andrew Mork has been coaching soccer professionally since 1999. During this time, Ian’s worked with Men’s National teams, Youth National teams, professional club teams, top amateur club teams, and youth club teams — as a Head Coach, Technical Director, Technical Advisor, Technical Consultant, Youth Development Educator, Lead Trainer, Talent Scout, and Director of player camps and coaching clinics. Ian’s youth development and coaching education philosophies evolved while studying, coaching, and educating across the U.S., Europe, and South America — including Belgium, Italy, Holland, England, Germany, Spain, and Paraguay. Ian was the Head Coach for the Belize National Team — competing in the Pan-American Games, CONCACAF Gold Cup, and World Cup Qualifying matches — before becoming a Scout and eventual Technical Advisor for U.S. Soccer.
After leading the Northwest Scouting Network for U.S. Soccer’s Development Academy Teams, Ian became the Director of Scouting and Director of the Boys NPL Player Development Program (PDP) at NorCal Premier. Ian holds a USSF “A - Youth” Coaching License; FA “Level 3” International Coaching License (UEFA “B” License); is an Olympic Certified Coach (Pan-American Sports Organization); and USFF licensed Coaching Education Instructor.
Ian first scouted within the Hawaiian Islands at the US Club Soccer Hawai‘i State Cup in 2015. Since then, Ian has been in close contact with the Hawaii Soccer Federation (HSF) as its Technical Advisor and PDP Hawai‘i Program Coach and Scout. Ian became HSF’s Technical Director in 2019.
